I grew up in the inner city with no Dad, and a Mother who was an alcoholic. God graciously saved me my senior year in high school, back in 1971. I was saved in a large Baptist Church and wanted to go into the ministry right away. I went to Bible College for a year and almost went oversees as a missionary. But God showed me He had more work to do in my life right here in the States. He gave me a godly, Proverbs 31 woman, for which I am so grateful. She is such a great helpmate from God in our home business, and in every area of my life. God has blessed us with 10 children even though my wife is missing her spleen and one of her kidneys. God graciously allows us to home school them. Oh they are not perfect, just as their Dad is not perfect. (I have a long way to go.) But God is making up for my mistakes as a Dad and is blessing me with such wonderful children. I appreciate having a local body around my children that is constantly purging the leaven out of our lives. We serve a holy God. And the world needs to see a people proclaiming the Gospel who are experiencing His power in their everyday lives.
